What does that say about them? That they don't accept Allawi as the leader of Iraq?

If that is true, what would happen if (and it's a BIG if) Kerry won the election?

Later in the day, Kerry was in OH calling Allawi a liar and a stooge.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If you or I or anyone thought we were going to become POTUS, wouldn't it be smart to meet with Allawi to ensure him of our support if we won, and send a message to the terrorists that no matter what happens this fall, things are not going to get better for them?

Allawi spoke before a joint session of Congress and before the United Nations. I don't know if President Bush or VP Cheney attended either of them, but if not, what does that say about them???

I think the prime minister is, obviously, contradicting his own statement of a few days ago, where he said the terrorists are pouring into the country. The prime minister and the president are here, obviously to put their best face on the policy, but the fact is that the CIA estimates, the reporting, the ground operations and the troops all tell a different story.

How do we know Allawi will even be in power next year - isn't Iraq holding elections in January? Is Allawi even a candidate? Hmmmm, now that I think about it, do we know ANY of the candidates and do they have any political parties or voting technology in place? January ain't very far away, is this election really going to happen? What if Al Sadr wins? [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]
